Practicing and Writing for next album

Brad came over to Hurlock this past Friday. We worked on many songs including some new tracks on the acoustic guitars. Rob joined us on saturday and we rocked out a little, discussed music,, movies, marriage, parenthood, vacations, careers for many hours. Things sounded pretty damn good considering the three of us have not been at the same place at the same time in over a year. Here are some of the works/works in progress that we are considering for the next recording.

Quiet as a mouse
Introduction to the End
Ant-Climactic
The Creed of Apollo
Post-Rock Balboa
Metal Hut
Whisper Softly
Chinese
Fish Call
Ode to Analog
Diagonal Pieces
Artificial Heart
Stumbling in the Dark
After the Funeral
Bionic Overload Revisited
Milemarker
Black Ice

Wreckage from the Metal Hut

The final installment of the 2006 Instrumental Demo Series is here...

WRECKAGE FROM THE METAL HUT is a compilation that packs 11 tracks together for your listening pleasure. There are a few unreleased songs and a boat-load of alternate versions that are much different than the "proper" versions on Jumbo Lump Riffs/Music is not Math.

So now we will lock ourselves up in the studio for months and months to see how LP2 takes shape. Some say 2006 was a year of Cab Appetizers, which means 2007 has to be the main course...and it should be super-tasty.

5+5=14?

As reported by Chief Baby, the 5+5=14 cd is now available. This CD combines the Limited Edition "Jumbo Lump Riffs" and "Music is not Math" EPs with 4 bonus tracks. All 14 songs give a glimpse into what will be the next LP from Cab Assassin, tentatively called "Cracking the Givenchy Code."

There is no official release date for the next LP, but the band will be spending parts of January and February in Bridge-Lock studio working on a bunch of the songs. We are hoping to have drums recorded to a dozen tracks by the end of February and then we will take it from there. Expect the next batch of Cab Assassin recordings to range anywhere from full-on rockers to stripped down acoustic songs with anything in-between. So for now, enjoy the instrumental demos.
